About Company: Who We Are: Roxana Del Campo

Director of Development

Roxana Del Campo is currently a Ph.D. student in the College of Education at the University of Washington, where she is a learning sciences concentrator.  Her research focuses on combining program evaluation methods with neuroimaging techniques to better understand whether educational programming causes changes in brain activity in addition to changing students's assessment outcomes.  Prior to coming to the University of Washington, Roxana was an Assistant Researcher at the Boston Museum of Science, conducting research on the effectiveness of museum exhibits, the quality of exhibit interfaces, Latino/Latina participation in the Sciences, and nanotechnology. 

Roxana met William while they were both students in the Urban Education Policy program at Brown University.  Here, Roxana supported the work of the Education Alliance (under the supervision of Maria Pacheco, Ph.D.) researching best practices for increasing the graduation rate of Black and Latino males, conducted research for the National College Advising Corps on the development of technology supports and information flow to support students attending community college, and conducted research - with William Buchanan and C. Andrew Morse - that was presented to the Director of the Race To The Top Assessment competition.  Roxana's interest in the Arts was developed while attending the Johns Hopkins University.  In addition to majoring in Neuroscience, she also majored in Latin American Studies where she focused on Meso-American art.  She also was heavily involved in an outreach organization that provided students in local elementary schools with afterschool instruction in visual arts.
