We’ve recently pushed an update to brewscheme on the development branch and will update the distribution page files over the next few days. These changes are part of the version 1.0.0 release candidate 2 of the project.
Updates and Changes to brewscheme
The primary change for release candidate 2 involves the initial completion of the documentation for the brewtheme command. The changes are visible in the brewthemehelp submodule of the project. While many of the scheme file entries are documented in the official Stata documentation, there are some scheme file entries that lack documentation. In order to help users, the documentation for each of the optional parameters for brewtheme contains two tables:
As shown in the example above, some of the angle style entries (i.e., clegend, p, parrow, and parrowbarb) do not have entries in the official Stata documentation related to scheme entries. In these cases, the help files contain links that show the source of the
s2color scheme and the value in parentheses indicates the line on which users can find the entry. In the other cases – horizontal_tick and vertical_tick – clicking on the text in the Keys column of the documentation would redirect the help file viewer to the entry in the official Stata documentation that references this key value pair. Additionally, clicking on the links in the values column would redirect users to the help file for
anglestyles. In some other cases (e.g.,
starstyle), clicking on the link in the value column will display the valid values in the results window. For users that want to make the fewest modifications possible, the default values used by
brewtheme are also displayed as a reference.
